The 12th Annual Nationwide Candlelight Vigil For Homeless Kids

Thursday, December 5, 2002 at 6:00 p.m. in Town Square

Thousands of people rallied across the nation in support of youth and to raise awareness about the difficulties and dangers homeless youth face in our communities. They made a difference by spending

an hour out in the cold. They showed the homeless kids of Anchorage how much they care. They showed them that they are not alone! They provided the Hope. We provided the Candle.

They brought some warm winter clothing to give to a kid in need!

They brought boots, gloves, hats, scarves, fleece top & pants, socks and coats, large sizes for teenagers!

Warm Refreshments were served at the Covenant House Alaska Crisis Center at 609 F Street after the Vigil!
