Covenant House Get Involved

Advocacy
Young people often don’t have a voice to speak for themselves. Through staff efforts and youth services, such as Legal Street, Covenant House Alaska (CHA) works to educate legislators and the public-at-large about the problems and suffering faced by Alaska’s homeless youth.

Current Efforts
Last year, CHA served more than 3,066 youth - a 15 percent increase over the last two years. Every year, we take in more kids and, now, our house is full. However, the need continues to grow.

To make sure Alaska’s kids have someplace to go, we are looking to build a new home – and you can help. Click here to learn more about this important project, to make a donation, or to voice your support by contacting Governor Sarah Palin or your legislator.

For more information please contact Lauren at 339-4224 or email.

Pending Legislation
Check back often for updates on pending legislation affecting CHA. We’ll keep you informed on bills you may want to voice your opinion on, and provide contact information for state legislators, the governor and the municipality.
