Our housing programs provide young people with the tools, support, and guidance they need to transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency.
It’s inspiring to see the change in them.

Bridge Housing

Building a Future of Independence
Once youth have stabilized, Covenant House Alaska offers two transitional living programs to guide them toward self-sufficiency.

Rights of Passage

Path to Independence (Ages 18-24)
A 25-bed program providing dorm-style living for youth aged 18 to 24 where they gain essential life skills that prepare them for adulthood and self-sufficiency.
When John first arrived at the Rights of Passage program, he kept to himself - guarded, withdrawn, and reluctant to engage with staff or residents. Securing a job was the turning point in John’s journey. His outlook shifted, and for the first time, we saw him smile.

Passage House

Mother and Child Program (Ages 17-21)
An 18-month residential program for young mothers and pregnant teens, Passage House provides a safe, nurturing environment to help them transition to independence while caring for their children.
I succeeded at so many things while being in that program for young mothers. They would teach you how to be independent to live on your own, they would teach you how to get resources if needed, there is so much more that Passage House does!
