Care Bag Donations
Support Covenant House Alaska by putting together Care Bags for the young people we serve!
Care Bags are a resource CHA provides to young people who come by the Youth Engagement Center after the community center has closed, typically during overnight hours.
These bags contain supplies to meet our young people’s basic needs when the full access to community center resources are limited.
Each Care Bag Contains:
Hat
Pair of gloves
Two sets of handwarmers
Emergency Blanket
Granola Bar (or other similar snack item)
Deodorant
Toothbrush
Toothpaste
Lotion
Lip Balm
How You Can Help
Host a Care Bag Making Event – gather your friends, co-workers, teams, or community groups to spend a few hours assembling Care Bags wherever is convenient for you!
Volunteer at CHA to make Care Bags – grab a friend and schedule a time to come to CHA to assemble Care Bags. We are happy to provide the supplies, or you are more than welcome to bring your own.
Donate Care Bag supplies – Don’t have the time to assemble, but still want to help? No problem! Bring in one, some, or all the supplies listed above, and our team or other volunteers will utilize them when assembling the bags.
